This annual event gives music students the opportunity to participate in a Local Festival, Local Honors Recital and State Showcase Recitals. Students audition for an adjudicator in the Local Festival and demonstrate knowledge of music theory through a written exam.

Students work with their teacher in the spring and summer months to prepare and memorize two repertoire pieces, and study for the theory exam.

Ensembles may also participate in the event.

There is a cost to participate in the Local Festival:
$20 per student
$10 per student in an ensemble
